Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said today that peace talks with Russia need “greater dynamic”, adding that he had asked the new head of the National Security Council and Defense, Rustem Umero, to “intensify” the process. “The implementation of the agreements from the second meeting in Constantinople is in progress,” he wrote on X, referring to recent talks between the warring sides in Turkey earlier in time. “This process needs more dynamics.” The Ukrainian president added that he commissioned Umero, who, until yesterday’s reshuffle of the government, served as Minister of Defense to work for defense agreements with the Kiev allies. Earlier today, the Ukrainian president welcomed the new European sanctions against Russia, considering that it was a “necessary decision, which was taken at the right time”. Source: RES
