The percentage to be allocated to the Municipality of Aristoteli Halkidiki, from fees confirmed and collected within 2021 from the exploitation of active mining concessions, is doubled, from 20% to 40%, by decision of the Minister of Environment and Energy, Kostas Skrekas.
The decision was taken after a proposal from the Municipality of Aristotelis of Halkidiki.
“We continue to actively support the Municipality of Aristotelis, due to the special conditions that prevail in its borders due to the extensive mining activity”, commented the Minister of Environment and Energy, Kostas Skrekas and added: “With this decision we return through the Municipality, to the residents of area, a part of the revenue from the concession of the mines and we once again show our trust in the Self-Government”.
