A move that caused the annoyance of the woman, who posted the now viral photo on the Reddit website.
The woman described the movement of her passenger as “irritating”, saying that the person in question did it several times, even when she implied to him that his … legs were in her personal space.
“Infuriating that this happened every 15 minutes during the flight,” he wrote. “I literally started tapping them legs his with mine. I did it several times. It didn’t seem to catch on.”
The woman’s post garnered more than 200 comments, with several — mostly tall people — defending the passenger’s move, the NY Post notes.
“I’m tall and I’ve probably done this with my feet,” someone commented.
“There is not enough space. My knees start to go numb and feel like someone is stabbing them. I have to stretch them. I’m sure, I’m very annoying on planes,’ said another.
However, the “rude” move divided commenters, with others supporting the woman who took the photo.
“Kick until they move. Stand up for yourself every now and then,” was one comment.
Others commented that they would not have minded if the passenger had asked them to stretch their legs.
