The plan (including helicopter) to have the queen participate in the mass in memory of Philip

On March 29, Westminster Abbey will celebrate the mass in suffrage of Prince Philip, passed away on April 9, 2021 at the age of 99. The religious service in memory of her husband will be the first public appointment for the Queen Elizabeth after passed the Covid and after having canceled participation in all public events (including Commonwealth Day).

Given the mobility problems of the ninety-five-year-old sovereign, Buckingham Palaceas revealed by the Daily Mail, has come up with a meticulous plan so that The Queen can reach the Abbey safely and with minimal effort. The program is for Queen Elizabeth to come transported by helicopter from Windsor Castle, where it has moved on a permanent basis since 2020, to Buckingham Palace (about 15 minutes journey) and then you arrive by car in Westminster.

The royal house is also considering creating some sort of tunnel out of the Abbey for prevent the sovereign from being photographed at its entrance. Another option being considered is that Elizabeth II arrives at the ceremony a few minutes before the rest of the participants, to give her time to take her place with extreme calm and caution in the chapel. A hypothesis, the latter, that however, it would break the tradition according to which the queen is always the last to arrive.

What is certain is that the suffrage of the Duke of Edinburgh will be an important appointment for European royalty who, due to restrictions for the Covid pandemic, were unable to attend Philip’s funeral in Windsor Castle chapel on April 17, 2021. Then the funeral ceremony took place privately with only thirty guestsall members of the British royal family.

Now, a year later, representatives of the main royal houses will have the opportunity to accompany the queen and express their condolences to her in person. Second Hola!is expected presence of Felipe and Letizia of Spain, although the royal palace have not officially confirmed the trip. Certain participation in the function of Carlo Gustavo and Silvia of Sweden and of William Alexander and Máxima of the Netherlands. On this heartfelt occasion, in which she will have to honor the memory of her beloved husband, Elizabeth of course she will be joined by the closest members of her family, but not from Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. The Dukes of Sussex will remain in California along with their children Archie and Lilibet Diana.

Again according to the Daily Mail, even Prince Andrew may not be present at the ceremony in memory of his father. The third child of the sovereign, now excluded by chance Epstein from family business, dismissed from royal duties and deprived of military titles, even after the plea deal with the accuser Virginia Giuffre and the escaped trial would be considered by the Windsors a presence inopportune in a public event such as Philip’s mass in suffrage. A drastic choice that, if it were to materialize, would confirm the hard line chosen by the royal family towards Andrea.
