The plan towards Christmas: Super Green Pass, third dose and restrictions for the unvaccinated

If something changes, and something changes, it happens this week. First the meeting of the regions with the government and then the Council of Ministers, which should be Thursday. From these appointments will come the probable tightening of the rules. THEThe government does not think about the lockdown, but the certification will have new, more rigid contours, and there will be bans aimed at those who have not been vaccinated. The swab alone will suffice for a limited number of activities. The aim is clear: to make those who have been vaccinated pay as little as possible for closures and restrictions.

Buffer and Green Pass

The antigen or molecular test will be used to work and travel, not for other activities, from the gym to the cinema passing through the indoor restaurants. For these activities you will need the Super Green Pass reserved for those who have been vaccinated or recovered for six months. The Green Pass will be valid for 9 months and will no longer be valid if you do not take the third dose, which is mandatory for healthcare personnel. The activities reserved for vaccinated people are: bars and restaurants, museums, exhibitions, arcades, gyms, swimming pools, theaters, cinemas, stadiums, discos.

To work it will be enough to have the swab, but its duration of validity could be hijacked: 24 hours and not 48 for the antigen test, 48 and not 72 for the molecular test. No changes to get on high-speed trains and planes: the Green Pass with negative buffer should be enough. The problem of controls is open for local public transport and it is difficult to make it mandatory for subways and buses.

Colors

The color system remains active, but only applies to those who are not vaccinated. The Green Pass for vaccinated people allows you to do all activities in all areas. The limits for unvaccinated people could be in all zones, including the white one, or only yellow and above. The passage in the yellow zone involves the use of an outdoor mask, four people at the table if not living together in the restaurant, change of capacity for sports and shows and closing of the discos.

Vaccination obligation

The vaccination obligation for everyone seems far away, as in Austria since February. However, it is possible that it arrives for some categories.

Third dose

From today it is possible to do the third dose to forty-year-olds. For now, 6 months must have passed since the second, but the time could be reduced to 5.

Local choices

For the cities, an additional problem are the events that block part of the historic centers every weekend. In addition to this there are the busy days of Christmas shopping. One of the hypotheses is the quota of entrances in shopping centers and also in the shopping streets. The mayor of Florence Nardella would like the use of the Green Pass to be further extended to parties, parties, dinners, large private indoor gatherings.

Stadiums

They are gatherings and the appeal is to keep the mask. Undersecretary of Health Andrea Costa explains: “We have reopened the stadiums to 75% because we believe it is right to also give a signal to our country, but we must also appeal to the fans to use the mask because there is a real need at this moment. to still respect all the rules and to make the sense of responsibility prevail. We can’t afford to let our guard down. ‘

Children

By the end of the week, EMA’s okay for vaccines for children between 5 and 11 should also arrive.
