The UK manufacturing PMI has shown a decline of eight tenths in the preliminary reading for October, sliding to 53.3 points from the 54.1 in September, although it improves the 53.1 expected by the market.
If confirmed, the October figure is the lowest in three months, reflecting a loss of momentum in the recovery of the manufacturing sector.
The Services PMI, for its part, it has fallen by about 4 points, falling to 52.3 from 56.1 the previous month, disappointing the 54 estimates. The reading is the lowest in the last four months, although the sector manages to remain in expansion territory.
