Sberbank and VK have taken the decision to close the citymobil taxi aggregator, which was one of the market leaders, but the reasons for this decision were not disclosed. In addition, the Swedish fund VNV Global, which owns the Gett platform, announced its withdrawal from the Russian market.
Citymobil showed good growth rates. In 2020, the number of trips made by Citymobil users amounted to 185 million, more than tripling in a year. The company’s revenue amounted to 46 billion rubles, while doubling over the past year. In some regions Citymobil held 30% of the market.

As for Gett, the Russian market brought 14% of the total income to the Swedish fund VNV Global. The company said the decision was made due to current market conditions and strategic planning. At the same time, Gett will continue to focus on the global market.
