According to the text of the management company DPort, one of the three workers’ unions, ENEDEP, again announced a strike which was deemed illegal by the court.

At the same time, ENEDEP is trying to inactivate the negotiation process for the conclusion of a BCC and the activation of the benefits it entails for the employees in order to create uncertainty and unrest for the port employees in order to satisfy a specific party clientele, “D said in a statement. -Port.

For its part, the ENEDEP workers’ union in a statement three days before the strike had noted that “under the responsibility of the government and COSCO does not apply the conclusion of the crisis committee for BAE which proves that all employees Pier II and III in the port of Piraeus are included in the BAE according to the conditions provided and in fact must be implemented from 1/1/2012.

At the same time, the employers under the responsibility of DPORT and COSCO have not renewed fixed-term contracts with dozens of colleagues under the pretext of the pandemic and at the same time are making new recruitments of colleagues with fixed-term contracts. ”

The main demands remain the signing of a collective agreement, the salary increases for all employees in the port of Piraeus, the re-employment of contractors, the implementation of legislation in Varea and Unhealthy.

In a morning announcement, the Business Workers’ Union – the second union operating on piers II and II, denounces the strike at the Container Station of the Port of Piraeus as pretentious and unjustified.
