The Prime Minister of Palestine announced a new package of reforms

A new package of reforms that will strengthen the Palestinian Authority was announced yesterday by the country's prime minister, Mohamed Mustafa, with pressure from several countries increasing for a political dialogue with Israel to take place. Mustafa, 69, who was appointed days ago by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, said his government would implement measures to increase transparency and fight corruption, reform the judiciary and security services, and improving the efficiency of the public sector.
