At the extraordinary Platinum Party concert at the Palace that last night brought the greatest planetary stars to the stage set up at Buckingham Palace, the queen Elizabeth as expected there was not. However Her Majesty has appearedto surprisein the exceptional opening of the Platinum Party at the Palace: a video in which she appeared with Paddington the bear, the beloved character of English children’s literature created by Michael Bond. In the clip, made months ago by the BBC, Paddington and the monarch have tea at Buckingham Palace. He offers her a jam sandwich, she refuses, explaining that she has one ready in her purse, “for later”. Then a butler warns the monarch that everything is ready outside for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, while the crowds outside explode in celebration. «Happy Jubilee, lady. And thanks. Everything »says the bear. Her Majesty replies with a smile: “You are very kind.” And then the sovereign and Paddington beat the silver teaspoons against the teacups to the rhythm of We will rock youthe song that opened the Jubilee concert.

Platinum Party at The Palace was an impressive event attended by 22 thousand people including the elite of the royal family (from the prince Charles to William and Kate Middleton up to the small George) while millions of spectators watched the live broadcast by the BBC in front of the TV. A concert with a magnificent setting and full of stars – come on Queen to Rod Stewart, from Alicia Keys to George Ezra, from Andrea Bocelli to Diana Ross and Elton John (albeit with a film recorded because he is involved in a concert in Milan) – which will remain unforgettable. Also thanks to the funny surprise video of Queen Elizabeth.
