The rating of social networks, after which it is difficult to fall asleep, has been compiled. You won’t guess the fourth

Many modern Internet users have problems with sleep, because of which they simply cannot get enough sleep or get the necessary quality of rest. This is largely due to the growing popularity of social networks in the life of any person, and the information publication Sleep Junkie decided to study the issue in detail to find out how poor sleep is associated with the user’s social activity. Having surveyed Americans in 2012, the publication received the very expected result – 78% of people use a smartphone to view social networks right up to falling asleep, which, of course, seriously affects the quality and duration of sleep.

Dorothy Chambers, Sleep Junkie’s sleep expert, said the process is called “revenge sleep procrastination.” This is a situation where the user deliberately postpones the transition to sleep in order to do other, of course, less important tasks on social networks for which he did not have enough time during the day, thereby reflecting a poor balance between work and personal life. To prove the link between social activity before bed and the quality of sleep itself, the publication conducted a full-fledged study, based on the results of which the top most harmful apps for those who want to sleep were compiled.

In the first place, which is quite expected, is TikTok – users who watched short bright videos before going to bed, then spend an average of 1 hour and 7 minutes to fall asleep. With Instagram, the situation is about the same – it takes 58 minutes for a person to go to sleep after viewing photos and short videos. Then comes Snapchat and, surprisingly, Twitter, and Facebook closes the five worst social networks for sleeping. For example, a person who does not use electronic devices before going to bed takes only 25 minutes to enter the sleep phase.
