Razer, a company specializing in the production of products for gamers and esports athletes, recently unveiled the patented Razer HyperPolling technology. This technology debuted in the Razer Viper 8K Hz, the world’s first gaming mouse with a true 8000 Hz polling rate. Recall that the standard for such devices is now considered to be 1000 Hz.

According to Razer, mouse accuracy and responsiveness depend on the polling rate. Higher polling rates can “eliminate annoying micro-interruptions, dramatically improving gameplay performance where a split second can be the difference between winning or losing.”
The increase in frequency to 8000 Hz, provided by the use of a high-speed USB microcontroller, reduced the input delay from 1 ms to 125 μs.
Other highlights of the Viper 8K Hz mouse include the second generation Razer optical switches and the Razer Focus + optical sensor. The aforementioned switches are improved with more tactile feedback. They are rated for 70 million clicks. The Razer Focus + optical sensor features 20,000 DPI. It allows you to track movements at speeds up to 650 inches per second and acceleration up to 50g.

The symmetrical mouse has rubber side grips and Teflon feet. It features Razer Chroma RGB lighting. The design includes eight programmable buttons. Settings are saved in the cloud and onboard storage. Connection to a computer is provided by a Speedflex 1.8 m cable. The dimensions of the mouse itself are 73 x 57.6 x 37.81 mm and weighs 71 g (without cable).
The manufacturer estimated the novelty at $ 80.
