Sonia Peronaci returns to TV and does an encore: on 11 October the second season of “La Cucina di Sonia” begins, in prime time on La7d. A new journey into the Italian culinary tradition, in 70 episodes, in which the digital entrepreneur and founder of Giallo Zafferano will guide us once again to discover typical products and dishes from all regions, with many new features.
“Each episode will be twice as long with spaces dedicated to kitchen tricks and mail where I will answer users’ questions, and of course the great protagonists will remain the recipes: there will be two, always dedicated to a different region ”, says Sonia Peronaci.
Also for this television adventure Sonia did extensive research with her team from Sonia Factory (which is the same place where the episodes are filmed) to identify the great cults of the truest tradition. «I was impressed by so many dishes. For example I discovered the torta coi bischeri: Tuscan tart in which the bischeri – which in Tuscan means “brats” – are pointed decorations that recall the shape of a crown. And then there Fedora pie, which evokes the baroque atmosphere of Sicily and is a triumph of the most typical ingredients such as ricotta, pistachios, almonds. Another example is the Grolla of friendship, Valle d’Aosta tradition: a full-bodied and warm drink to be enjoyed in the typical wooden instrument, the grolla. A custom that I knew and that I revisited for the program “, continues Sonia Peronaci who, among all the recipes, made a selection to propose varied ideas, balanced by type and territories, original and as always feasible, which will give us a taste also in a new book in an autumn release.
While waiting for the book, with the new program we will learn everything: “There will be complete menus, from the first to the sweets, which are among the most popular traditional dishes but which are rarely made at home because they have a long preparation. Instead, just try: you just need a little good will because, as our grandparents used to say, “When you see something done then you do it”», Sonia concludes.
