The revenge of Harry and Meghan, who in 2021 were accused of manipulating a photo

The manipulated photo released by Kensington Palace on the occasion of Mother's Day continues to be discussed, and after the public apology of Kate Middleton, who admitted that she was the one who had a hand in it, it's still a storm. The last to speak on the matter, Misan Harriman, ithe photographer friend of the prince Harry and Meghan Markle who took the shots with which the couple announced their daughter's pregnancy Lilybet Diana. Two beautiful black and white photos, which however at the time were put under the magnifying glass by the British press, which spoke bluntly of manipulation.

Harriman was patient, and almost three years later he took his revenge, demanding a public apology: «The original jpeg without the black and white», Harriman wrote, publishing the photo on Instagram, «I expect complete apologies and retractions from the Daily Mail and from Telegraph», he continued tagging the two newspapers. “No trees or lawns were moved or changed, this is the image that came out of the camera.” Then the lunge, in reference to the tree seen in the photo: “It's a jacaranda tree, not a willow.”

To prove what he claims, Harriman has attached the exif data of the shots which, for those who are unfamiliar with the specific language, show the camera used, the lens, aperture and shutter speed. It turns out that Harriman shot with a latest generation iPad, with excellent light conditions.

It is not the first time that Harriman returns to the issue; accused of having added elements to the landscape he had always denied, specifying in a 2022 interview how similar actions could be “harmful and dangerous for journalism”. Since it was the Sussexes, at the time in the midst of the post-Megxit storm, many felt they had the right to point the finger at the image, which three years later the world sees in its original colours.

Kate Middleton, was the photo showing her in the car with William also modified?
Royal fans have identified a clue that would demonstrate that the image taken in Windsor would have been retouched just like the one published by the princess on social media on the occasion of Mother's Day

For Kensington Palace it is a another shot to digest. The only thing that could calm things down at the moment would be Kate Middleton's return to the scene. Easter is now upon us, perhaps we could see it again sooner than expected.
