The Yandex team spoke about the development of the Yandex.Rover project. The delivery robot has managed to deliver more than 2 thousand orders and travel more than 7 thousand kilometers since the start of testing.
The project team has published a new video showing how Yandex.Rover works in winter, regardless of frost and snow. It is noted that the rover now has more space for placing orders, the battery life reaches 10 hours, and it delivers food, groceries and documents.

In December, Yandex.Rover began delivering Yandex.Food orders from restaurants to employees and visitors of the White Square business district near the Belorusskaya metro station in Moscow, as well as in Innopolis near Kazan. And in February, robotic delivery became available for the first time in residential buildings in Moscow. Rover began delivering Yandex.Lavka orders (delivering groceries from stores) at home on Khodynskoye Pole in Moscow.
As Yandex then reported, at that time, since December, courier robots made more than 1,500 deliveries and drove almost 7,000 kilometers in unmanned mode. Thus, in a month, about 500 orders were delivered and the milestone of 7 thousand kilometers of “run” was overcome.
