The next unreleased album by the Rolling Stones, not only because it would be their new job after more than 18 years, but also because two components – the only ones still alive – of their rival band could participate in the project: the Beatles. Second varietyIndeed, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr could play in the next album of the band led by Mick Jaggerwhich would thus return to giving the public new music including songs recorded before the death of Charlie Watts.
According to the newspaper, McCartney has already recorded some tracks bass in Los Angeles for the past few weeks, but it’s not yet clear whether he and Starr would play together on the same song or on different tracks. According to sources close to the band, it would appear that the album is nearing completion, so it is very difficult to squeeze more information on a project that, at least on paper, seems destined to last even just for having managed to put the Rolling Stones and the Beatles together after all these years.
What is certain is that, answering a question on his official website, McCartney revealed: “I’ve recorded some stuff with a couple of people and plan to play some more. I started collaborating with Andrew Watt, and we got on well». The curious thing is that, always second variety, Watt would be the glue of the entire project, which would confirm the artist’s involvement in the album. To tell the truth, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones had happened to end up on the same recording before: it happened with McCartney and John Lennon for the backing vocals of We love you by the Stones and with Brian Jones for those of Yellow submarine and for the saxophone in You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)the B-side of Let It Be of the Beatles.
