The Russian-appointed occupying commander of the Ukrainian Mykhailivska was killed by a bomb

The Russian-appointed head of the Ukrainian city of Mykhailivka in the Russian-controlled part of the Zaporizhia region was killed by a car bomb on Tuesday, an official in the region’s Russian-backed administration said.

In a Telegram post, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Zaporizhia regional administration, said that the head of Mikhailifka, Ivan Susko, was seriously injured when a bomb planted under his car exploded and died a short time later in hospital.

Mihailifka has 11,000 inhabitants.

It is the latest in a series of assassinations of Russian-appointed officials in occupied parts of Ukraine. In the neighboring region of Kherson, deputy city head Novaya Kakhovka was shot and killed in his home on August 6.
