Within a year, the number of Russian billionaires on the Forbes international list increased by 21 people, 15 of whom are new faces. According to the Russian edition of the magazine, another 10 returned to the list, while four businessmen were out. The leader remained the same: Lukoil’s shareholder, Vagit Alekperov, holds for the second consecutive year the first place among the Russians. Last year, in 2024, Forbes had recorded a record in the number of Russian businessmen on the billionaires list: 110 had reached 125. But this record lasted just one year. In 2025, the number of Russian billionaires amounted to a new historical high – 146 people.
