Skoda continues to prepare the public for the announcement of its new Slavia budget sedan next week. After the publication of the first images that showed the body design, the manufacturer showed the car’s interior.
Skoda Slavia will receive a new two-spoke steering wheel, on which there are controls for the multimedia system and cruise control, and the familiar DSG gear lever. Also clearly visible is the digital instrument panel and the 10-inch screen of the infotainment system. The car should receive six airbags, a rear-view camera, and numerous electronic assistants.
Earlier it was reported that the sedan with a length of 4.54 m was created on the MQB-A0-IN platform, which was used in the Kushaq crossover. This architecture will be used for all budget models of the Volkswagen concern for Russia, India, Africa and Southeast Asia.
According to previously published information, the front-wheel drive Skoda Slavia will be equipped with two turbocharged TSI petrol engines. 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with 115 hp. (from the EA211 family) will work in conjunction with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. There will also be a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 150 hp. with a torque of 250 Nm, which will be supplied with a fast automatic dual-clutch transmission.
The official presentation of the Skoda Slavia will take place on November 18.
