The SberBank team announced a new useful innovation in SberBank Online. Now, in the mobile application, you can connect the incoming call verification service, which will alert you that a fraudster is calling.
To do this, just go to the “Security” section on the main screen and activate the “Check incoming calls” button in the settings.
The call verification service is available to users of the latest version of the mobile application on Android and iOS devices. The app might need to be updated.
According to the developers, every day SberBank processes about 10 thousand messages about fraud attempts and, using its own model for analyzing phone numbers, forms the basis for verification. At the moment, the database contains over 600 thousand unique fraudulent numbers.

Unfortunately, the number of crimes using social engineering methods is growing, and today it is difficult to find a person who has never been called by criminals on behalf of the “bank security”. Our new high-tech service helps clients to recognize the fraudster immediately and not respond to his requests. Taking this opportunity, I would like to remind you once again that no one, even a bank employee, should be told confidential information: card number, codes from SMS, three-digit code on the back of a bank card. By transferring this data to others, you are effectively giving them access to your money: it’s like giving a thief the key to your apartment. ”
