The first deliveries of the new $ 800 million US military aid to Ukraine have begun to arrive in the country, a US government official told CNN.

US President Joe Biden announced a new military aid package to Kyiv last week, following a heated appeal by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Congress for additional assistance.

The United States will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine under the $ 800 million package as soon as possible, the US official said, including the supply of Ukrainian troops with 800 Stinger anti-aircraft systems and 100 unmanned aerial vehicles. , equipment that is considered critical for strengthening the Ukrainian defense.
