The team of “The Secret Agent” is already in the French riviera for the premiere of the movie in Cannes Festival . The title that competes for the Golden Palm It will have the first exhibition on Sunday (18), at 10am (Brasília time).
The actress Alice Carvalho 28, shared a photo next to the director Kleber Mendonça Filho 56, and the actors MARIA FERNANDA Candid 50, and Wagner Moura 48, on social networks, announcing the arrival on site.
“It’s great to be here with Kleber, with my friends of all life, with Wagner who is so important to me. What a honor!” He wrote.
“The Secret Agent” is set in the 1970s. In the plot, Marcelo, a technology expert, escapes a mysterious past and decides to return to Recife in search of some peace, but realizes that the city is far from being the Refuge that seeks.
This is the Kleber Mendonça Filho’s third film to compete for the Golden Palm . Previously, the Pernambuco filmmaker had “Aquarius” and “Bacurau” in the official national team, as well as “Chamebre 999” and “Ghost Portraits” in special exhibitions of the festival.
“The Secret Agent” marks Wagner Moura’s return to Brazilian cinema. In recent years, he has been in international productions such as “Sergio” (2020), “Civil War” (2024) and “drug thieves” (2024).
