Caspar, the eldest son of Claudia Schiffer and the director Matthew Vaughn, has just accomplished 18 years. For the occasion, on January 30th, the supermodel published an old cover of Vogue in which he poses with a few months old son in her arms, writing: “My little Caspar today officially becomes a man».
Caspar was born in London in 2003. Since then Claudia has always kept him out of the limelight, as indeed the little sisters Clementine (born in 2005) and Cosima Violet (in 2010).
Claudia and her husband have chosen to raise their children in the countryside, in a house inOxfordshire, in the south of England, where there are also to keep him company several dogs, a couple of cats, a pig, a sheep, and the turtle that Matthew gave to Claudia a few days after the blind date that made them meet and fall in love. In their country home, the top model and the director said “yes” in 2002, a few months before Caspar’s birth, in front of 120 guests including Madonna, Brad Pitt e Jennifer Aniston (at the time engaged). Since then, the super top has always defended the almost banal life of a couple and a good family mother: “I like the idea of being happy with one man“. Claudia’s childhood, made up of rules, was transmitted with DNA in the Schiffer home: «My children go to sleep and they always get up at the same time. Discipline is good for children, it makes them feel safe, calm », said the supermodel a few years ago. Explaining that he gave up films for his children: “I do not tolerate the idea of having them raised by a nanny».
Caspar and his sisters had a quiet childhood: the supermodel mother, like any mom, has them always accompanied to school. And no paparazzo has ever tried to immortalize the scene. Claudia and her husband tried to be as present as possible in the children’s lives: in the afternoon playing tennis with them or taking them to do long walks in the countryside, in the evening having dinner all together. On weekends, the family loved to cook typical English dishes and the children were allowed to play video games. Then, in the summer, family holidays in Mallorca, an island much loved by the model who used to go there since she was a child with her parents.
Now Caspar has turned 18 and just barely finished high school. It is not known if he wants to continue his studies or if he has other projects. Maybe follow in the footsteps of their parents in the entertainment world. A hypothesis, this, which at the moment seems really unlikely. The boy is so reserved that he doesn’t even have a social profile. And finding a recent photo of him is impossible.
