The Shanghai Cooperation Organization denounces the attempt to reinstate sanctions against Iran by Europe

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization today warned that there should be no “re -interpretation” of the UN resolution concerning the Iranian nuclear program, while Europeans are preparing to reinstate sanctions at the expense of Tehran. The countries of the HSS say in their public announcement that “any attempt to interpret or arbitrary reintegration of this resolution will affect the power of the UN Security Council”. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragsi, in a post on X platform, also said that his country, China and Russia signed a joint letter to the United Nations, complaining as “legally unfounded and politically destructive” the attempt by Europeans.
