The SHARE equality mark was received by AB Vassilopoulos

AB Vassilopoulos is one of the 18 companies that receive the SHARE Equality Mark for the first time in Greece.

According to a relevant announcement, SHARE captures the practical promotion of practices and initiatives within companies that aim at gender equality. It is the result of a two-year effort to promote work-life balance, as well as a better distribution of care responsibilities between men and women.

AB Vassilopoulos successfully responded to this “journey” which included, among other things, the application of the methodology developed, the training and the final evaluation according to the criteria that “touch” 4 aspects: the equal treatment of the two sexes, the equality in decision-making, the reconciliation of professional and private life for women and men, as well as the corporate culture and the wider business policy. According to the recommendation of the independent Evaluation Committee, AB Vassilopoulos “gives a signal” of gender equality, with SHARE coming to “seal” the commitment of the supermarket chain to constantly promote the dialogue on diversity, integration and inclusion.

In this spirit, Dimitris Artikopoulos, VP of Human Resources & Organizational Development of AB Vassilopoulos, noted: “We feel happy and proud to receive the SHARE Equality Label. This initiative reflects all those necessary – and fundamental – principles for “Modern society. For the modern business world. For the modern labor market. It gives voice and strength to create an inclusive ecosystem that needs women – but also men – to evolve and take the next step.”
