According to the announcement of PNO, the strike starts at 00:01 in the early hours of Friday, December 10, 2021 and ends at 24:00 at midnight on Saturday, December 11, 2021, with the prospect of further escalation.

The Panhellenic Association of Lifeboat Crews also participates in the mobilization.

The sailors’ union speaks of “constant obstruction on the part of the employer”, adding that “not only has it not improved, even slightly, its negative position, but it stubbornly refuses to grant substantial increases in the salaries of seafarers with misleading tricks and “.

The management of PNO requests salary increases in the Collective Agreements for the years 2020 and 2021, but also the solution of the problems of the sector such as insurance, pension, education, General Registry Services, GENE, unemployment, uninsured black labor, organic crew compositions, etc. .
