A video captures the horrific moments experienced by fans at a football match in India, when the improvised podium with thousands of people collapsed, resulting in hundreds of injuries. The pictures show the podium collapsing before the start of the race in Kerala, in the south Indiaon Saturday night.
Construction collapsed and the crowd began to run to escape. More than 200 people were injured, five of them seriously, according to the Daily Mail.
About 2,000 people were temporarily on the podium, with a total of 6,000 at the race, with local media reporting that they were more than expected by the organizers.
Children are said to be among the injured in the March 19 incident.
The shocking accident, which occurred in the Malappuram area, resulted in more than 200 people being transported to nearby hospitals.
THE football match, as was logical, was postponed after the accident.
