With a huge demand for them from cryptocurrency miners, only about 15,300 3D cards were sold in the entire United States in a month and a half (from January to the present moment of 2021). And eBay is also the resellers’ favorite platform. Surely they would like to sell more video cards, because the demand is simply huge, but the problem is that there is nothing to sell.
So, for all these one and a half months through eBay, about 2,300 pieces of GeForce RTX 3090, 3,000 pieces of GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, 3,400 pieces of GeForce RTX 3080 and about 5,400 pieces of GeForce RTX 5400 were sold. It is noted that the prices for all these models have been slightly have risen – this is reflected in the chart below.
The deficit is expected to increase in the near future, as in China during the local New Year celebrations there will be weekends at the enterprises – for 1-2 weeks. Accordingly, the cost will continue to rise.
With AMD video cards, the situation is even worse: in a month and a half on eBay, 1216 of them were sold: 334 – Radeon RX 6900 XT, 434 – Radeon RX 6800 and 448 – Radeon RX 6800 XT. Compared to NVIDIA 3D cards, these models are in even greater deficit.
