The Sims developer to release a game with NFT

Will Wright, video game designer for The Sims and SimCity, announced a new NFT game called Proxi, in which you can create and sell non-fungible tokens.

According to Bloomberg, video game designer Will Wright, who worked at Maxis and contributed to SimCity and The Sims, will soon be releasing an NFT game. Proxi is Wright’s first video game project since Spore 2008.

This is an artificial intelligence driven simulation game aimed at taking players on a journey of self-discovery involving in-game digital assets. Players create a personal diorama of memories using thousands of in-game items, then generate a user avatar and interact with other players. Proxi provides users with ownership of their memories in the form of NFTs and the ability to sell the created items in the game. According to the developers, “almost everything” in the game can take the form of NFTs, which can be resold to other users. The game is developed by Wright’s new team at Gallium Studios.

Gallium Studios has partnered with the NFT Forte gaming platform to provide blockchain integration and NFT functionality. Forte will give users the opportunity to purchase NFTs for US dollars, the service can work with various blockchains.

“I’ve always considered the community and its efforts to be an integral part of my gaming experience,” Wright said in a statement. “With the Forte platform, we have a secure way to integrate and distribute community contributions.”

Proxi will launch on mobile this fall. The initial NFT collectible starter packs are already available for $ 10 or $ 50 each depending on the content.

More and more classic video game developers are entering the NFT market. The Atari founder announced this week that he will release an NFT based on the company’s classic slot machines via MakersPlace. NFT owners will be able to view slot machines in 3D.
