Nearly four months after Ukrainian troops launched an offensive in Russia’s Kursk region, soldiers fighting there speak of a battle they don’t understand and fear they may be losing. “The situation is getting worse every day”, “we can’t see the target”, “this is not our land” are some of the words of the exhausted soldiers, as reported by a BBC report. The soldiers, who are not named, describe the tragic conditions in which they fight. Bad weather and chronic lack of sleep caused by constant Russian bombing are just some of the adversities they have to deal with.
