It took a bad turn yesterday, Saturday night at Constantinople a snow war in which dozens of people took part. Seven people were injured by bullets, Turkish media reported.
Taking advantage of the heavy snowfall, dozens of people started one snow war in a park in the Top Hane district, near the very touristy districts of Galata and Karakioi, on the European side of the city.
For unknown reasons, the tones rose between the two groups, who began to engage in punches and kicks, broadcast by the Turkish news agency DHA.
At least one of the gunmen then pulled out a pistol and opened fire, injuring seven people, according to the DHA and the Athenian News Agency, which published images of the incident from security cameras.
According to the Turkish Umut Foundation, there are about 25 million firearms in the country – with a population of 84.7 million – a number far higher than the authorities estimate.
