His social networking site became available to users on Sunday Donald Trump, under the name “Truth Social”. The site is expected to be “fully operational” by the end of March, more than a year after foreclosure of the former US president from major online platforms.
“We will start launching the app to the public through Apple this week.” said Devin Nunes, head of Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the parent company of the new social networking site, in an interview with Fox News.
“I believe that by the end of March we will be fully operational, at least in the United States,” added the former lawmaker, who left Congress earlier this year to run TMTG.
“Truth Social” has been presented by Trump as an alternative to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, the platforms from which he was expelled after the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
“It is moving for me to see people who have been silenced using the platform.” said Nunes.

“We want them to tell us what kind of content they want on the platform,” he added. “Unlike the silicon valley oligarchs who tell people what they want to think and decide whether or not we can be in the networks.”
