The South Korean constitutional court today confirmed, in its unanimous ruling, the dismissal of the President Yun Gen Gel from the post, four months after his destructive attempt to enforce military law. This decision means Mr Yun’s immediate removal from power, as he was simply ceased to date. It also implies that they will be held within 60 days of early presidential elections. The date to be made is now expected to be announced in the next ten days. The leader of the opposition Lee Jaj-Mung, the favorite of these elections, praised the dismissal of the right-wing leader, who accused “threatening the people and democracy with the power and weapons entrusted to him by the people”.
