The São Paulo Metro went into partial operation around 5 pm this Thursday (23), after four lines were completely paralyzed by the subway workers’ strike.
The company had obtained a judicial decision in the Labor Court that determines the resumption of part of the operation. The resumption of operation will remain until 20 pm.
The stretches between Ana Rosa and Luz stations, on Line 1 – Blue; the Clínicas and Alto do Ipiranga stations, on Line 2 – Green; and the Santa Cecília and Bresser-Mooca stations, on Line 3 – Red, are back in operation with payment of a fee. Line 15 – Silver remains closed.
Lines 4 – Yellow and 5 – Lilac, both privatized, are operating normally.
The Metro reopened this afternoon (23) sections of the lines, and should operate until 8 pm. The opening follows the court decision, which determines the operation with fee payment:
Line 1: Ana Rosa-Luz
Line 2: Alto do Ipiranga-Clínicas
Line 3: Sta. Cecília-Bresser-Mooca
