A mother-of-three credits a spider bite with saving her life as it led to a shocking cancer diagnosis. Sabrena Jones, 54, of Oklahoma initially ignored the bite on the back of her left leg for a few days, but when the pain and “burning” continued, she decided to go to the emergency room. What followed was a test that revealed she had stage 3 kidney cancer and a baseball-sized tumor on her right kidney. The former Navy reservist underwent surgery to remove the tumor and is now waiting to find out if she will need further treatment, such as radiation therapy. Jones told Newson6: “I was waiting to find out whether or not it was a Brown recluse spider bite and then i’m going home I had no symptoms at all.
