The State Duma plans to adopt four crypto-laws at once

The head of the State Duma Committee on the financial market, Anatoly Aksakov, said that by the end of the spring session, by July 30, it is planned to adopt four laws on cryptocurrencies, taxation of crypto investors and mining at once.

All laws are in the stage of “high comprehension,” the deputy said:

“We need to adopt tax legislation and take into account the opinion of the market. Most likely, the rules that apply to digital financial assets should be taken into account as much as possible, since this is a similar instrument. June is most likely the second reading. We will work actively, it is quite possible that we will adopt all the laws in the spring session, and the industry will work in a normal legal space.”

The deputy clarified: right now the State Duma is working on amendments to the legal regime in the field of cryptocurrency exchange and a draft law on mining. Aksakov himself complained that he himself became a victim of an overload of the power grid due to mining.

“Once I arrived in my apartment in Cheboksary, and all my housing, excuse the expression, stank: the refrigerator crashed. Began to find out. It turned out that the miners overloaded the power grid. Then the neighbors came to me. I’m okay, a fairly wealthy person, I was able to buy myself a new refrigerator, but for many this is a problem, ”the people’s choice is indignant.

Earlier, Aksakov said that the adoption of a law on the legalization of payments in cryptocurrency was delayed due to disputes among deputies and officials. In March, it became known that the Russian Ministry of Finance plans to force cryptocurrency miners to report their income to the tax authorities. Failure to do so may result in terms of up to four years in prison.
