On the YouTube channel Creator Studio published the first video in which we are shown a prototype of an Oppo smartphone equipped with a next-generation sub-screen camera.
Oppo yesterday announced the latest version of its sub-screen camera technology, claiming that it allows the selfie camera to be placed under the display “without compromising screen integrity.”

The reviewer says the camera is virtually invisible regardless of angle, light refraction and different colors displayed on the screen. The video blogger showed that in certain scenarios, the location of the camera can still be seen.
He demonstrated how the camera works – there are obvious slowdowns in the preview window, although the photos are noticeably sharper than those taken with the first generation subscreen camera.
The prototype appears to be quite compact, however Oppo has also announced a commercial smartphone with this technology.
