The supercomputer at the heart of the electric vehicle. Nio ET7 has 68 billion transistor Adam system

We just wrote about the Nio ET7 electric car with a range of over 1000 km. As it turned out, the car has another very interesting feature.

The heart of the car is the Adam supercomputer based on a very powerful single-chip Nvidia Orin system. It was presented in December 2019, but is based on solutions that have not yet entered the market, or are just emerging. In particular, it includes Cortex-A78 processor cores and next generation GPUs. The platform contains 17 billion transistors and provides performance up to 254 TOPS.

Most impressively, the Nio ET7 contains an automotive supercomputer based on four of these SoCs! And this is a total of 48 processor cores, 8096 CUDA cores and 256 third generation tensor cores. The total system performance is over 1000 TOPS! Apparently, at the moment this is the most productive automotive solution, which is declared for a production car.
