The Israeli Supreme Court ruled today that the Israeli government’s ruling in March to dismiss the head of the Internal Security Service, Sin Bett, Ronen Bar, is “illegal and contrary to the law”, he said in his verdict in response to his appeal. “The Supreme Court ruled that the government’s ruling to end the term of Sin Beth’s leader was taken through an irregular procedure and contrary to the law,” the Supreme Court underlined in a 58 -page ruling. The removal of the bar has caused anger in much of Israeli public opinion and mass demonstrations. Former Sin Beet chief had clashed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who began his dismissal process.
