The romance “The Taste of Life” (2024) entered the Prime Video catalog this Tuesday (23). The title was selected to represent France in the competition for a spot in the Best International Film category at Oscar 2024, but ended up not being nominated.
The plot follows Eugenie, a talented cook, and O famous gourmet Dodin, for whom she has worked for the past 20 years. With O time, practice from the gastronomy and admirationO mutual turned into a relationship. Their partnership results in incredible dishes, each one more delicious than the last. O Oanother, challenging even Othe most renowned chefs in the world. However, Eugenie values her freedom and never wanted to marry Dodin. SoOhe decides to do something he’s never done before: cook for her.
The film stars the Oscar winner Juliette Binoche (“The English Patient” and “Chocolate”) and Benoît Magimel (“The Piano Teacher”). Directed by the Vietnamese Tran Anh Hung who won O Best Director AwardO at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
