The three Deputy Governors of the Public Employment Service

By decision of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Kostis Hatzidakis and pursuant to the provisions of Law 4921/2022 (articles 4-8) are appointed to the positions of three Deputy Governors of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) Messrs. George Karachalios, Gianna Hormova and George Christopoulos.

THE George Karachalios is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of Peloponnese and holds a master’s degree from the Department of International European Economic Relations of the Athens University of Economics and Business. Graduate of the Department of Public Administration of Panteion University and the 19th Series of the National School of Public Administration. He has many years of experience in the private and public sector, while he has served the Public Employment Service (formerly OAED) in various subjects for the last 15 years.

THE Gianna Hormova is an administrative scientist and public policy expert. She served as Secretary General of Demographic and Family Policy and Gender Equality, served as Director of the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance and as Secretary General of the Municipality of Karpenisi. She has also worked as an assistant curator at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. He is an excellent graduate of the National School of Public Administration and holds two postgraduate degrees.

THE George Christopoulos is an economist, a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has served as an advisor to the Minister in the Ministry of Environment and Energy and in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, with the main responsibility of coordinating the projects of the Recovery Fund. He has previously worked at UNU-MERIT, the United Nations think tank on innovation. In this context he has authored policy studies on behalf of the European Commission, with an emphasis on the impact of new technologies on the labor market.
