The three doses of AstraZeneca vaccine are effective against Omicron

Three doses of AstraZeneca vaccine against covid-19 are effective against the coronavirus Omicron variant, the pharmaceutical company announced today, citing data from a laboratory study at the University of Oxford.

The study, which has not yet been published in a peer-reviewed scientific review, shows that the level of antibodies to Omicron after a booster dose was higher than that of people infected and covid-19.

After three doses of AstraZeneca, the level of neutralizing antibodies against Omicron was similar to that against the Delta strain after two doses of the vaccine, the study added.

The Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical company noted that the researchers at Oxford University who conducted the research were independent of those who worked on the vaccine.
