The three scenarios considered for the plane crash in Russia

The 22 passengers and the 6 crew members are dead inside the An-26 passenger plane, which crashed in Kamchatka. Authorities are now examining three possible causes of the crash.

Russia’s Investigative Committee has announced that it is examining if the aircraft crashes due to adverse weather conditions, technical damage to the aircraft or crew error.

According to the Investigative Committee, the plane was carrying 22 passengers and 6 crew members.

A team of investigators arrived at the scene of the plane crash, fuel samples were taken, the flight plan and the relevant company documents were confiscated to which the aircraft belonged, while testimonies are taken from witnesses to the incident.

According to the Athens News Agency, the Russian news agency TASS, citing the emergency services, reported that according to the first information, the cause of the crash was the mistake of the crew in conditions of poor visibility.

The emergency services reported that the crew had not reported any technical problems to the aircraft and that the aircraft had been inspected prior to departure.

The plane crashed in a rocky area, and its wreckage was scattered in the Okhotsk Sea, 4 km from the town of Palana, where it was heading.
