Dr. Alexander Murakhovsky, who had cared for the Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny when he crashed into a flight last year, he has disappeared, as the Russian police announced yesterday Sunday.
Murakhovsky left a hunting ground in a forest in the Omsk region on Friday. and since then his traces have disappeared, as reported by Reuters.
Investigations to locate him are ongoing with the involvement of emergency services, drones, helicopters and volunteers on the ground.
Murakhovsky was the chief physician in the Siberian city of Omsk where Navalny was treated. Murakhovsky was later promoted to the post of local health minister.
After tough negotiations with the authorities, Navalny was airlifted to Germany for treatment.
Laboratory tests in three European countries showed that Navalny had been poisoned with a neurotoxic agent in the style of Nowitzok.
The Kremlin denies any allegations that it was the Russian authorities who attempted to assassinate him.
In February, and having returned to Russia, was taken to prison.
