The transformation of the woman who went viral because of the photo since her arrest

A woman from Ohio did viral from her arrest photo and now due to her transformation as she decided to remove her gruesome tattoos, most notably the one on her spider web face, after undergoing grueling laser treatments to remove the ink. 31-year-old Alyssa Zebrasky circumnavigated the world in December 2018 after the arrest of her in Ohio with her charge theft stores but also for drugs found in her possession.

Her booking photo showed her forehead covered with one tattoo spider, along with Day of the Dead-inspired skull design around her eyes, cheeks, nose and lips. In April 2019, Zebrasky and her… gruesome ink were back in the news after she was caught by the police again. After nearly three years, Zebrasky decided to turn her life around after completing a court-ordered rehabilitation program. As part of her recovery process, she decided to get rid of all the tattoos on her face in an attempt to forget an ex-boyfriend.

Zebrasky said she had agreed to acquire the bleak body art while in a toxic relationship with her then-partner, who at the time was in a gang which he wanted to join. To become member of the group, her boyfriend said she should get a face tattoo. The woman went under the needle during two painful sessions in June 2018, which were nightmarish, Kennedy News reported. Zebraski was taken into custody three times within six months. After undergoing rehabilitation, Zebrasky wanted to get rid of the tattoos for good, so she turned to a Texas-based charity called INK-nitiatve, which helps people remove unwanted body art to make a fresh start without … spots. With the support of her family and her new partner, with whom she has “the healthiest relationship” she’s ever had, Zebrasky is documenting her ink removal journey on social media, reports New York Post.

“Looking back at these pictures, I just feel disappointed in myself,” she said. “But I have to remember that I hadn’t worked on myself, nor had I tried to learn how to love myself like I do now,” the woman added.

“Now I feel proud because change is possible and treatment and learning new things are also possible. I like being able to look back and see my personal development,” he noted. Despite having tattoos all over her body, the heavy machinery worker only wants them removed from her face and arms because of their association with her ex. “At first I said no and then he kept talking about it. Now I think it was so no one else wanted me,” he said.

The Ohio woman added that while she was at prison, her then boyfriend only visited her twice. “I have to think about that every time I look in the mirror,” she said. “I started to heal mentally from all the things I went through with him.” Zebrasky said it took twelve 20-minute sessions to clear her face. “When I first started going, they did my cheeks, forehead and arms because as a tattoo your body can heal so much at once,” she explained. “Now the cheeks are gone, but we haven’t started around the mouth.” Zebrasky said the process of removing the ink from the nose was particularly painful. “The initial pain from the laser would be like a rubber band snapping into your skin, that’s what the laser is like, and then it’s like it hurts for 30 minutes,” he said.

“Then it swells up and there’s pain almost like you’ve spilled stove oil on your hand, that’s the closest I can compare it to what I feel in my hands,” he added. Becca, a technician who worked with Zebrasky, told the company’s website that she was initially “frightened” by her client’s appearance. “I’ve never seen so many tattoos on someone’s face,” he said. “We didn’t know what her background was, why she went to jail.” But Becca said she soon discovered the 31-year-old was “sweet” and “funny”. As the tattoos are removed from her skin, Zebrasky said her face is now “revealed” and she hopes that by being honest about her experiences it will help others in a similar situation.
