The second of the three trials of members of the “Citizens of the Reich” organization accused of plotting a coup began today in Frankfurt. The head of the organization, Prince Henry XIII of Reuss, will also be tried at the Frankfurt court. According to the Federal Attorney and the 617-page indictment, this is perhaps “the greatest conspiracy that has ever occurred in the history of the Federal Republic against the free, democratic basic class.” Since April, the trial of eight members of the organization, who are believed to have organized some kind of military structure and armed “internal security” groups with the aim of overthrowing the regime, has been underway, while in June the trial of the rest arrested for the same case will begin .
