“The trip”: Know which actors of the cast that have already died

The soap opera “The Viagem” is one of the biggest hits of Brazilian television and now she is back on TV Globo, in Vale a Pena See again. The plot tells the love story of Diná (Christiane Torloni) and Otavio Jordão (Antonio Fagundes), which is always intercepted by the obsessor spirit Alexandre (Guilherme Fontes).

Ivani Ribeiro’s plot was originally aired in 1975, but the most famous version was the 1994 remake, which was reprized for the third time on TV Globo and three times on the extinct paid paid live channel, which is now called Globoplay Novels.

He was hospitalized at the Sancta Maggiore Hospital in Mooca, São Paulo, since June 8th. According to the hospital’s advisory, Amadeu had multiple organ failure.

Nair Bello

Veteran of soap operas and humor, the actress lived the owner of pension Cininha, who was in love with her Tiberius (Ary Fontoura). Nair Bello died at age 75 on April 17, 2007, after a cardiorespiratory arrest. She was in a hairdressing hall when she got sick and was taken to a hospital in Sao Paulo. She was admitted to the Syrian-Lebanese hospital five months and remained there in a coma. The artist was buried in the Araçá Cemetery, in the center of São Paulo.

Lolita Rodrigues

In real life, she was a great friend of Nair Bello and had a lot of fun on the recordings of “The Travel.” Lolita Rodrigues played Fatima, who lived in the pension of Cininha, and also courted Tiberius. The actress died at age 94 due to pneumonia, and the family chose not to hold a wake. The artist’s body was cremated.

Irving Sao Paulo

Actor Irving São Paulo lived Zeca, brother of Lisa (Andrea Beltrão) and son of Agenor (John Herbert), and died at the age of 41 after a multiple organ failure. He was admitted to the CTI Copa D’Or Hospital in Rio de Janeiro for two weeks, with an advanced frame of pancreatic inflammation. Irving had a surgery, but could not resist. The funeral and the funeral were at the São João Batista cemetery in Botafogo.

Cláudio Cavalcanti

Yara Cortes

Actress Yara Cortes was the interpreter of the character Dona Maroca and mother of protagonist Diná. She died at the age of 81 on October 17, 2002, while treating lung cancer, victim of respiratory failure. She was buried in the São João Batista Cemetery in Botafogo.

John Herbert

He gave life to Pilantra Agenor, father of Lisa and Zeca, who always tried to get along at the expense of his children. Actor John Herbert died in Sao Paulo on January 26, 2011, at the age of 81, after complications of a pulmonary emphysema. He had been hospitalized for almost a month at the Heart Hospital in São Paulo, when he was admitted to respiratory failure. The wake took place at the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS) and the body was cremated soon after.

Mara Manzan

The actress played Edineia, who lived in the pension of Cininha and worked with Tiberius. Mara Manzan died at the age of 57 at the Rios D’Or Hospital in Jacarepaguá, Rio de Janeiro, on November 7, 2009. The cause of death was the complications of a lung cancer, which was in metastasis. She even did chemotherapy during the recordings of the soap opera “Caminho das Indias” and took a medical license during this period.

Cláudio Mamberti

Geraldo is one of the characters that had little prominence within the comic core of the cininha pension. He was played by Claudio Mamberti, who died on September 19, 2001, a victim of multiple organ failure at the age of 60. He spent three weeks hospitalized at the Syrian-Lebanese Hospital in São Paulo, where he remained until his last days. The actor’s body was cremated at the Vila Alpina crematorium in São Paulo.

Chris Pitch

She lived Barbara, a friend of Zeca and was part of his band in “The Viagem.” Chris Pitch died shortly after the recordings of Ivani Ribeiro’s soap opera on October 20, 1995, at the age of 24. The cause of death was a fulminating heart attack. In one of the chapters of the only plot she worked on, the character Barbara makes a comment about death from her heart: “And I thought the heart killed only sadness!”
