Archaeologists have released chilling new information about how a ‘true vampire’ spent her final moments. The woman, who lived around 350 years ago, was discovered two years ago in a medieval cemetery in the Polish town of Pień. Investigators have named her ‘Zosia’ and new images of the 18-year-old vampire show her to have fair skin, blue eyes, short hair and a protruding fang. “Zosia” was found buried with a silk hat on her head, indicating that she belonged to a high social class. However, her position did not protect her from accusations of malice: Of the 100 or so other skeletal finds in the grave, only “Zosia” was covered with a sickle around her neck and a giant lock on her toe.
