At the age of 83, Turkish Cypriot businessman Asil Nadir died yesterday. Nadir was born in the occupied poplar. He created in London the colossus of Polly Peck, with an emphasis on trade and textile products, usurpical assets of Greek Cypriot displaced. The company was expanded rapidly and was linked to the economic boom of occupied Cyprus. However, it collapsed in the years 1990, when it was linked to scams and accounting irregularities. Facing 66 categories, Nadir fled to the occupied in 1993, leading to the resignation of the then Minister of Northern Ireland because of their relationships. Asil Nadir returned to London in 2010, where he was tried and imprisoned. For many years, he was the owner of the Kimbris Media complex, which he sold to a Turkish interest company. Source: RES
