The turnover of the industry increased by 39.6% in September on an annual basis

Turnover in industry increased by 39.6% in September 2021, on an annual basis, according to data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority. On a monthly basis, ie in relation to August 2021, the increase was of the order of 25.3%.

More specifically, ELSTAT reports that “the General Index of Turnover in Industry (total domestic and foreign market) of September 2021, compared to the corresponding index of September 2020, showed an increase of 39.6% against a decrease of 10.3% which occurred during the corresponding comparison of the year 2020 with 2019.

The General Index of Turnover in Industry for the month of September 2021, compared to the corresponding index of August 2021, showed an increase of 25.3%.

The average General Index of the twelve months October 2020 – September 2021, compared to the corresponding index of the twelve months October 2019 – September 2020, showed an increase of 14.5%, compared to a decrease of 10.8% compared to the previous twelve months.

The increase of the General Turnover Index in Industry by 39.6% in the month of September 2021, compared to the corresponding index of September 2020, came from:

1. From the changes of the indices of the sub-sectors of the industry:

Κατά Increase by 40.0% of the Manufacturing Turnover Index. The changes in the indicators of the double-digit sectors mainly contributed to this increase: production of coke and oil refining products, manufacture of electrical equipment, production of basic metals, manufacture of metal products.
. Increase by 14.7% of the Turnover Index of Mines – Quarries. This increase was due to changes in the indicators of the double-digit sectors: mining, other mines and quarries.

2. From the changes in the indices of the individual markets:

Κατά Increase by 56.6% of the Foreign Market Turnover Index).
. Increase by 30.3% of the Domestic Market Turnover Index.
